Why has my account been paused or disabled?

If your account is paused, it usually means your payroll details have changed or your employer has updated your status in their system.

🛠️ Things you can check

Payroll or Bank Changes

To work properly, Stream must stay connected to your payroll.

The Cause: If you (or your payroll team) add to or change your "Payment Elections" or bank details in your payroll portal, that link may break.
The Fix: Ensure your payroll portal shows your Stream account as an active payment election. If it has been removed or replaced by a different bank, the app will pause automatically to prevent errors.

Things that fix themselves

You are on Leave

If you are currently on sick leave, holiday, or parental leave, your account may be paused while you are away from work.

The Fix: Your account will typically reactivate 24 to 48 hours after you return to work and your manager approves your new shifts in the timekeeping system.

🚫 Things your employer manages

Leaving your Job

If there is a "leave date" on your employment record, you will no longer be able to make transfers. This ensures your final paycheck is calculated and settled correctly.

Note: It is not possible to reactivate an account while a leave date remains in the employer's system.

Administrative Updates

In some cases, your employer may request a temporary pause on your account while they update your payroll or employment records.

Important Note: We cannot unpause an account if it was paused by your employer. You will need to speak with your Manager or HR team for more information.
